The Fljót Valley on the mountainous Troll Peninsula in northern Iceland is as remote as it gets. This remote region experiences some of the highest yearly average snowfall on earth, making it a skier's paradise. With its black timber cladding, living roof, and floor-to-ceiling windows all around the property that embrace the neighboring peaks, Deplar Farm, which is situated on a former sheep farm, fits into the surrounding natural scenery. A property with two helipads gives visitors quick access to steep couloirs and undulating descents that lead to the beach. The stable conditions in Iceland's coastal snowpack range from buttery, smooth slopes and corn snow to fresh powder, and the region's midnight sun makes it possible to start carving tracks at 10 p.m. There are never any downtimes at Deplar, in contrast to many heli operations. If flying is not possible due to weather, our guides can take visitors cat skiing or on-piste instead. Concerning painful muscles, don't.
